1. Agreement and developer
These Terms are an agreement between you and independent developer Yuehang Hong regarding your download, access, and use of Laneory (Chinese name: 泳迹). By downloading, purchasing, or using Laneory, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you disagree, do not use the App.
When Laneory is obtained through the App Store, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If an irreconcilable conflict exists, mandatory law and Apple’s mandatory terms control.
2. Eligibility
You must have the legal capacity required in your location. A user below the local age of independent consent must have a parent or legal guardian review and accept these Terms and supervise health- and exercise-related features.
3. The service
Laneory may provide swim-record import, workout metrics, trend statistics, local data management, and subscriber features. Availability can vary by app version, device capability, system version, region, HealthKit permission, and subscription status.
Laneory does not require an account, and primary data is stored on your device. We may improve, add, modify, or discontinue features, while taking reasonable steps to avoid adversely affecting paid entitlements.
4. Health and safety
- Displayed data may be affected by device sensors, data entry, algorithms, networks, and third-party sources and may not be perfectly accurate, complete, or current.
- Do not operate the App in a way that distracts you in the water or during exercise, and follow pool and venue safety rules.
- Stop exercising and seek professional help if you experience chest pain, difficulty breathing, dizziness, or other concerning symptoms.
- Do not rely solely on Laneory for medical, emergency, or high-risk training decisions.
5. Subscriptions and in-app purchases
Laneory subscriptions and other digital entitlements are offered through Apple in-app purchase. Product name, term, price, trial conditions, and included benefits are shown on the purchase screen and control at the time of purchase.
- Payment is charged by Apple to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- An auto-renewable subscription renews under the rules shown by the App Store unless you cancel through your Apple Account before the current period ends.
- Manage or cancel a subscription in iOS Settings under your Apple Account and Subscriptions. Use “Restore Purchases” in Laneory to restore eligible entitlements bought with the same Apple Account.
- Apple handles refund requests and billing disputes under its policies. Laneory does not directly receive card details or full payment information.
- Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
6. Local data and your device
Because Laneory does not provide a developer cloud account or backup, local data may be lost if you uninstall the App, damage or replace your device, restore the system, clear storage, or delete data by mistake. You are responsible for your device and system backups. Unless mandatory law provides otherwise, we cannot recover data held only on your device.
Apple Health and HealthKit permissions are controlled through Apple’s systems. You must have the right to enter, import, or authorize any data you use with Laneory.
7. License and prohibited use
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Laneory on Apple devices that you own or control.
You may not:
- use Laneory unlawfully, fraudulently, to infringe rights, or to endanger others;
- bypass subscriptions, licensing, security, or access controls;
- copy, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer, or interfere with the App except where applicable law expressly permits it; or
- use automation to disrupt the App, a third-party SDK, or the App Store.
8. Intellectual property
Laneory, including its interface, software, text, graphics, trademarks, and related materials, is owned by the developer or the relevant rights holders. No intellectual property is transferred to you beyond the license expressly granted in these Terms.
9. Third-party services
Laneory uses Apple HealthKit, StoreKit, and Umeng analytics and stability services. Those services are independently operated and their availability and data practices are subject to their own terms and policies. We take reasonable care in selecting and configuring services but do not control every aspect of their operation.
10. Availability and updates
We work to keep Laneory reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation on every device, system version, region, or at all times. We may release updates or adjust features for security, legal, technical, or product reasons. Some updates may require a newer iOS version.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Laneory is provided “as is” and “as available.” The developer is not liable beyond mandatory legal requirements for service interruption, data loss, or indirect loss caused by device failure, third-party services, system updates, user action, or events beyond reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits non-waivable consumer rights, liability for personal injury, fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
12. Ending use
You may stop using and uninstall Laneory at any time, but you must separately cancel any renewing subscription through your Apple Account. We may reasonably restrict relevant features for a serious breach of these Terms or where required by law. Payment, intellectual-property, liability, and dispute provisions that by nature survive will remain effective.
13. Changes and applicable rules
We may update these Terms as the App or law changes and will revise the date above. We will provide appropriate notice of material changes. Mandatory consumer-protection law applies first; other matters are governed by the law most closely connected to the developer’s operation.
