1. Scope and operator
This policy applies to the Laneory iOS app, developed and operated by individual developer Yuehang Hong. For privacy matters in English, contact laneory@proton.me.
2. Apple Health data
Only after you choose to connect and grant individual permissions in iOS does Laneory use HealthKit to read swimming workouts, dates and durations, distance, pool length, strokes, swimming styles, lengths and segments, heart rate, active energy, and date of birth and biological sex for local intensity estimates. Health and fitness information is sensitive personal information.
This information is used only on your device to organize workouts, calculate metrics, display trends, and generate sharing content you choose. You may decline or withdraw any permission at any time. The corresponding data and metrics will not be available, but features that do not depend on that permission remain available. Laneory does not change or delete original Apple Health workouts or use health data for advertising, profiling, data brokerage, credit assessment, or third-party analytics.
3. Data stored on your device
Workout caches, derived metrics, profile information, workout feelings, notes, equipment, and settings are stored on your device. Equipment photos are stored in the app’s local directory. Uninstalling the app normally removes this content; device backups are governed by your Apple backup settings. The developer cannot remotely access or recover local data.
4. Purchases and subscriptions
Apple App Store and StoreKit handle purchases. Laneory reads only Apple-verified product information and entitlement status, and does not receive complete bank card details. Apple handles orders, billing, refunds, and Apple Accounts under its own policies.
5. Sharing, photos, and issue reports
Laneory generates images and opens iOS sharing only when you choose to save or share. It accesses only photos you select for equipment. Default sharing posters do not include precise location; you choose whether to show precise times and heart rate.
When you choose “Report data issue” and confirm, Laneory prepares health and fitness data for that workout, app and system information, sync status, and sanitized logs from the last 60 minutes of the current process, then passes them to the system or your chosen email app. You can review, edit, remove attachments, or cancel before sending. Not sending does not affect other features. The current in-app diagnostic flow sends to laneory@foxmail.com only after you confirm sending in your email app. For English website support, you may instead contact laneory@proton.me.
Diagnostic material excludes HealthKit UUIDs, Apple Accounts, device serial numbers, locations, profile information, workout feelings, notes, equipment names, and other workout records.
6. Third-party services and data transfers
Laneory uses Apple’s HealthKit, StoreKit, photo picker, system sharing, and email capabilities. After you choose a third-party email app or sharing destination, its own policy governs subsequent processing. We will stop using a service if it cannot provide the protection required by this policy and applicable law.
English website feedback is received at laneory@proton.me, hosted by Proton Mail. Simplified Chinese feedback and the current in-app diagnostic flow use laneory@foxmail.com, hosted by Tencent Foxmail. When you confirm sending, your sender address, message, and attachments are processed by your chosen email app, sending provider, and receiving provider for delivery and storage. Laneory does not automatically upload this material before you confirm sending. These providers process email under their respective Proton privacy policy and Foxmail privacy policy. Email may be processed outside your jurisdiction; do not assume it remains within your country.
Tencent Cloud EdgeOne hosts the static pages at laneory.com. When you visit the website, the hosting service may process necessary network request information, such as IP address and browser information, to deliver content and provide security. The website does not receive HealthKit or workout data from the app.
7. Retention, security, and deletion
Local data remains until you delete the relevant content in the app or uninstall it. Diagnostic material received by email is used only to address your reported issue and is normally retained for no longer than 90 days from receipt, unless the law requires otherwise or you explicitly agree to an extension. You may request earlier deletion using the feedback reference in the email subject.
We use data minimization, field allowlists, sanitized logs, and user-initiated sending. No device or network transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
8. Your rights, children, and policy updates
You can access, correct, copy, or delete local content; withdraw permissions in Health or Settings on iPhone; stop sharing; or decline to send feedback. For feedback already sent, contact us with the feedback reference to request access, correction, or deletion.
Laneory is not directed at children under 14. Users under 14 should use it with the consent and guidance of a parent or guardian. Without that consent, do not authorize health data or send feedback.
If data processing changes materially, we will update this policy and its date, and obtain renewed consent where required by law. For privacy questions, contact laneory@proton.me.
